Marta Carvalho is an artist from Portugal, with a BA in Theatre – Acting (School of Music and Performance Arts – Porto) and a Master Degree in Communication, Art and Culture (Minho University). She has also a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

In Portugal she participated in several professional plays (both leading and supporting roles), including physical theatre and community focused theatre. She performed in other countries, such as Brazil, Spain and Romania.

Marta moved to London in search of experiences to develop even further her profile as an artist. Here, she already casted in theatre shows, movies, a music video and a radio show.

Side by side her acting career in Portugal, she codirected an directed several community and professional theatre shows in various theatre companies and cultural projects (Tin.Bra – Youth Theatre of Braga; Fafe – City of Artes; Creativity Center of Póvoa de Lanhoso; EnRed’arte – cultural decentralization project of Amarante).

She worked also as a teacher and tutor, teaching Drama, Voice for Theatre and Movement for Theatre, including in a Acting College Degree (High School Alberto Sampaio) and in a Post-Graduation in Speech Therapy.
